In this role, you will belong to Sweco Sweden's business unit Railway. The local team consists of nine people and is one of eleven technical groups, together comprising over 130 employees working in the railway sector. Together, you will work on southwestern Sweden's leading BPU assignments, including the Alingsås – Olskroken contact line upgrade and the Lärje storage track. In this role, you will be based in the Gothenburg office.

Job responsibilities

As a site supervisor (BPU), you play a central role in ensuring that the contract proceeds as planned. You will monitor quality, finances, and timelines. An important part of your work is to ensure that applicable requirements and documents are adhered to on-site and that the handover from the contractor to the client occurs according to the agreement.

The work takes place both on-site and in the office, where you handle administrative tasks. You work independently but in close collaboration with other Sweco colleagues and serve as a supportive function at the workplace. You report any deviations and participate in inspections of the facility. With your contribution, you help create sustainable and well-functioning projects, where you can be part of an engaged team and see the results of your work come to fruition.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • Several years of experience working with contact line management; you likely have worked as an installer for many years and have recently transitioned to a supervisory role
  • It is an advantage if you are currently working as a site manager in the railway sector
  • You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, which is crucial for communication and documentation
  • Driving license B

As a person, you are curious, engaged, and enjoy leading and developing teams. You have strong communication skills and build long-term relationships with both clients and colleagues. You are structured and responsible in your work, yet flexible and solution-oriented when challenges arise. You have a holistic perspective and an interest in understanding the broader trends in various technical fields. With an open attitude towards development and sustainability, you dare to think outside the box and contribute knowledge. You see the value in collaboration, share your expertise, and contribute to a positive work culture – where both business and job satisfaction are in focus.
